Inevitably industrial pumps will include waste water pumps of some description being required in a typical manufacturing process.

Sewage pumps, trash pumps, commercial pumps are all in some way referred to as waste water pumps.

Water pumps when required for a process where there is an effluent or washing process will typically be submersible pumps and specifically when handling sewage. (sewage punmps)

The dramatic move away from long line shafts (vertical pumps) from the late 1960’s onwards is due to the huge efforts in developing submersible pump technologies and effective seal designs.

Pumps for waste water need to be capable of handling various effluents from raw sewage to chemical treatments, solids in the fluid, biodegradable solid and liquid components as well as wash water laden with detergents and laundry waste.
